
The Dublin Legends - 2023 live in Concert
Sitting in an Irish pub with a cold Guinness in your hand while listening to Irish folk - we can't really take you to Ireland, but we will take you on a mental trip to the "Emerald Isle" together with The Dublin Legends!
The foundation stone was laid in 1962 with the formation of the popular band "The Dubliners". The group has not only been on stages all over the world - they have collaborated with famous artists such as U2, Damien Dempsey, The Pogues and Bressie.
The Irish regularly featured in the domestic singles charts with great number 1 hits such as "Seven Drunk Nights", "The Irish Rover" and "The Ballad of Ronnie Drew".
In 2012, Barney McKenna, the last original founding member, passed away.
But this was not the end, as the remaining members wanted to continue. Just one year later they formed The Dublin Legends, to keep the music of The Dubliners alive!
The group consists of four members. Gerry O'Connor and Paul Watchorn show their skills on the fiddle and banjo, while Paul Watchorn still supports vocally. Shay Kavanagh, who was found as a worthy successor to Eamonn Campbell, who died in October 2017, takes over the vocals and guitar. In addition, Séan Cannon, who was a member of the Dubliners for 30 years together with Eamonn Campbell, accompanies as a singer and guitarist.
In their luggage, the likeable Irishmen have beside the folk classics like "The Irish Rover", "Dirty Old Town" and not to forget "Whiskey in the Jar" also new musical projects. A great mixture to be excited about!
How to describe The Dublin Legends the best? As a primeval rock of Irish folk! If you love this genre, you can't get past them. The fans can look forward to a great German tour with first-class musicians, rousing atmosphere and a lot of fun!
